RON KORBITZ

Ron is a versatile guitarist who is comfortable playing any genre and almost any instrument with strings. He started winning guitar competitions at age eight and was working on his first professional recording project by age twelve. He has Bachelors and Masters degrees in music education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago and has taught music and directed choirs at every level from PreK to Graduate Students. He has performed with The Maiden Voyage Band, Frank Pellico Orchestra, and Sound Connection. He also performs regularly with soprano Angela Presutti. They have been featured on artist series throughout the Midwest and several times on Classical Radio 98.7 WFMT. The International Bluegrass Music Association honored him for his work with bluegrass in the schools in 2008. His performance history also includes a six year residency at The Royal Castle Dinner Theater and lead guitar for the hard rock group Raconteur and progressive rock band Fury. As the current lead player for Schtillrokken, Ron enjoys the huge variety the band plays and the freedom he has to sometimes cover a solo note for note and other times open up his wide musical palette for some tasty nuanced new sounds.

RICK MADAL

Rick started messing around with his mom's guitar at age 5.  At age 11, he got an electric guitar and joined up with his cousin, playing in band with him.

At 21 he had to put it aside due to a career law-enforcement that had a schedule that didn't give much room for outside activity.

In 1997, he was able to get back into it and has played in rock and blues bands, and now his favorite: Schtillrokken!

Dan has been playing drums and bass for over 30 years. He is a veteran of the local midwest music scene, holding down the beat for Nude Limbo Party and Scrood, then laying down the low-end groove for Troublemakers, Rhythmfish, April's Reign and Pandora Rox.
